Organizational Guidelines

  • Person(s) seeking to develop a new sector for events, using the NCS platform, is required to communicate this development plan “before” securing fields or directors with the proper NCS Board members, to not cause conflicts of interest that may have already been negotiated prior to this development action. Contact an Executive Board Member in charge of the proper sport.

  • All new events, on the local, national, or international level, must be disclosed to and preapproved by the National President of that specific sport and approved solely by the NCS Executive Board.

  • When seeking to open any new area for play, it is a requirement that this new area director will host NCS events exclusively. Advertising with any other brand can cause liability issues in addition to causing confusion and therefore credibility with our participants nationwide. Events are hosted by NCS, insured by NCS, and operated on the NCS website/database.

  • Any / all sanctioning fees initiated at the State Director level must be presented to the National President of that specific sport and approved by the NCS Executive Board.

  • NCS reserves the rights for all sponsorships with regards to the NCS Brand. All sponsorships must be disclosed to the National President of that specific sport and approved by the NCS Executive Board. When and if, National Sponsorships are acquired by NCS, the Board will require a “cease and desist” of all sponsorships deemed in conflict with NCS Sponsorships.

    • NCS will not be required to grandfather any existing sponsorships when deemed to conflict with the NCS brand at the sole determination of the NCS Executive Board.

  • Development of any new NCS area must have a central contact person for that area in place to field questions of teams in a timely manner. Communication is the key “customer service” responsibility for all NCS events.

Securing team insurance “before” your event is a key responsibility for the event host and organizer.

    • Teams may purchase NCS Insurance for automatic upload / approval on the spot

    • Teams may upload other entity insurance if they have NCS named as Additional Insured

      • In either case this is a liability insurance issue that NCS provides the event host “free of charge” to protect NCS and the event host and owner of the property from legal action.

  • NCS Event hosts will continually be evaluated and reviewed for position upgrades, re-assignments, or removal from the NCS program.

  • NCS does “NOT” dual sanction with any other organizations, on the National or Local level, without the prior and specific approval of the National Executive Board.

  • Event hosts and those expanding the NCS program are representing the NCS brand and need to always conduct themselves in a professional manner.

  • Invalid NCS rosters will cause credibility issues (such as loss of teams) for event hosts and for National Championship Sports. Missing, Denied, or expired online team insurance certificates will put NCS and event hosts at risk of liability issues.

  • Beginning August 1, 2022, all new directors, hosts, or staff members will be subject to mandatory background checks and must be approved by the president of that specific sport with the consent of the NCS Executive Board.

  • NCS Directors are strictly prohibited from coaching any team participating in any of their own events under any circumstances. This applies only to any team in their organization that they are specifically named as the head coach.

I understand that I am representing the NCS Brand with my events and activities. I understand that a violation of these guidelines may lead to my removal as an event director or administrator with NCS.
